This desk provides both the style of a desk perfect for a typewriter, and the functionality of a desk perfect for the wired home office. The single pedestal provides for a row of drawers for your important documents and office supplies. The drawers have superior-level construction with ball bearing glides and strong joint connection that can accommodate 50-pound loads. Each drawer has a different function. The pencil drawer can be converted to a keyboard drawer for computers. On the top of the opposite side are two utility drawers, one with dividers for small office supplies like staplers. The bottom drawer opposite the pencil drawer is a vertical file for your important documents. The desk is made of cherry/elm wood solids, a combination of cherry and elm; and cherry veneers, a thin layer of cherry attached to a stronger ''mixed'' piece of wood for strength and durability.About Martin Furniture Martin Furniture was founded in 1980 by Gil Martin in the San Diego suburb of El Cajon.
